Bridging the Skills Gap Together
The SA Skills Development Academy is a start-up non-profit organisation committed to bridging the skills gap among youth by providing relevant, high-quality training, mentorship and career support. In partnership with Engineering Africa, we aim to equip young people from diverse backgrounds with accredited technical and soft skills that improve their employment opportunities and personal growth. Beginning in the engineering sector in Gauteng, our vision is to expand into other industries and provinces. We believe in access, equity, diversity, integrity, empowerment, community engagement and lifelong learning, creating inclusive pathways that enable young people to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.

What are we about?
Career Counselling
Career counseling empowers South Africa’s youth to understand their strengths, explore career opportunities, set realistic goals, and make informed decisions. It provides guidance on education, skills, internships, and employment while helping young people overcome barriers and build confidence for a successful future.
Mentorship Programs
Job Shadowing Program
This will enhance career readiness to new
graduates with industry professionals, providing them with invaluable insights and first-hand experience in their specific field to gain a deeper understanding of the skills and competencies required in the workplace.
Semi-Skilled Worker Training Enhancement
The skills centre will also pay for the upskilling of experienced semi-skilled labourers, so that they can advance their careers.
